This dev release outlines the latest progress made across the core areas of the BlockDAG ecosystem the blockchain backend, Explorer interface, and the X1 Miner application (including the upcoming x10 hardware integration). These updates are geared toward improving the user experience, strengthening infrastructure, and preparing for our next major release.

As the network grows, it becomes crucial to ensure that core components scale with demand. Improving RPC performance and backend stability ensures reliability under heavy usage. On the frontend, enhanced visualization and filtering empower users with more accessible insights. Meanwhile, the X1 Miner project aims to bridge the gap between usability and mining accessibility, providing a sleek, user-friendly entry point into the BlockDAG ecosystem.

The blockchain team has been focused on backend reliability and performance in preparation for upcoming network expansions and broader adoption.
 

• RPC Sync Issue Under High Load:
  One of the critical issues we’re actively resolving is with the getBlockByOrder RPC call, which tends to stop syncing under high load conditions. This impacts block retrieval consistency and downstream services. A fix is in progress to ensure stable syncing behavior even during periods of high traffic.
• RPC Optimization Across Modules:
  We're also taking this opportunity to perform a broader audit and optimization of all RPC interfaces. This includes improving response times, reducing memory overhead, and enhancing logging for better debugging and monitoring.
• Smart Contract Internal Testing:
  Internal QA and stress testing are ongoing for the smart contract system. This ensures compatibility, safety, and readiness for when contracts are exposed to broader usage in the next big update.

These improvements will lay the foundation for a more scalable and reliable BlockDAG network.

Our Explorer has seen significant enhancements with the completion of the filtering features a key milestone that improves how users interact with and navigate the network data.
 

• Completed:
  Filters for data sets like transactions, contracts, and token transfers have been successfully integrated. This gives users more power to drill into specific activities and metrics on the network without being overwhelmed by raw data.
   
• Coming Next: Graphs & Stats Module:
  We're now entering the development phase for the new graph and stats module. The visualizations currently planned include:
  • Transaction History – Interactive timeline to show volume and types of transactions over time
  • Token Transfers – Filterable by type (e.g., fungible vs. non-fungible)
  • Total Active Accounts – Graph showing account activity across customizable timeframes
  • BlockDAG Coin Transfers – Track coin movement and volume trends
  • BlockDAG Price Graph – Historical price chart with time filters
  • Daily Deployed Contracts – Sorted by contract types to understand usage patterns
     
• UI/UX Progress:
  The current focus is testing recently developed features and finalizing Figma designs for the new graph module. We’re committed to delivering not just functionality but also an intuitive and beautiful experience.

We’re excited to share progress on the X1 Miner mobile app integration with x10 hardware miner, a major part of our mission to democratize access to mining and strengthen the network’s decentralization.
 

• Device Design Finalized:
  The hardware team is close to finalizing the physical design of the x10 device. Early prototypes are being evaluated internally, and we've captured screenshots of the current designs for review. Expect a sleek, user-centric form factor that feels both premium and accessible.

  The software and hardware teams are closely collaborating to ensure smooth API integration between the X1 mobile app and the x10 miner. This includes authentication protocols, performance monitoring, and reward tracking all designed for an effortless plug-and-play experience for users.

  Our goal is to make mining accessible for everyone from crypto newcomers to veterans by removing the complexity from setup and ongoing management. The X1 app will act as a control center for your x10 device, providing full visibility and control from your phone.

• Filter system for the Explorer module is now fully integrated and functioning across relevant data types. Currently the functionality is being tested on the stage environment.
• Internal bugs and inconsistencies related to filter behavior and UI alignment have been resolved as part of QA.
